This page is designed to help you use New Life's web site more effectively.
Clicking on a home page billboard (the large picture that changes) will take you to a linked page with more information. For example, clicking on the sermon series billboard takes you directly to the sermon page where you can download the most recent sermon audio, video, notes, or discussion questions.
Many of our web site pages have an RSS button at the top of the page. RSS stands for Real Simple Syndication and is a way that you can receive direct updates from our web site to a news reader on your computer or mobile device. Click on the RSS button, subscribe to an RSS feed for that page, and receive updated information on your personal device. For example, subscribe to Pastor Ron's blog and receive an update when it is posted without having to check the web site.
In the upper right corner of the New Life home page, there is a button called "Mobile View." Click on that button and the web site will be converted to a different format designed for easier viewing on your mobile device.
Printing a Page
Click on the printer icon on the top of any page convert the page to a print format and print it.
On the right side of each page, two upcoming events are listed. Every time you move to a new page, the events displayed change until they have cylcled trhough all upcoming events. Click on "View more events…" and you will be taken to the Event List where you can see all upcoming special events in chronological order. (Many of these same events are listed in Recent News in order of importance or most recent release.) The Calendar takes you to a more detailed display of events generated by our actual church scheduling system, part of our social networking software called "Church Community Builder (CCB)."
Online Community (CCB)
On the upper right menu of the home page, there is a link to the "Online Community (CCB)." Clicking on that link takes you to a page where you can log in to our online community, a feature of our church software system called Church Community Builder. (You can request a login and password if you do not have one.) In CCB, you can update your own personal and family profile. You are linked to the groups in the church where you are involved. Your personal calendar filters all of the church events and places on your calendar only events from your groups. Many of your groups will allow you to post messages, receive email information about activities, etc. In effect, CCB is a way to customize church information for your personal use.
The Corporate link in the upper right corner menu is reserved for church staff and leaders. It gives them access parts of the New Life web site so that they can directly update information without having to contact a webmaster. This capability is part of the CMS (content management system) provided to us by the Digital Attic.
